“Hello my fellow lovers of all things luxury hospitality! ✈️ Let me spill the beans on a fabulous inflight gem I discovered at Gucci Osteria in Florence. 🍽️✨So, picture this: I’m in the restroom, and what do I find? Eco-friendly dental kits, right? 🦷 But wait, it’s not just about the kits—it’s all about the box! 📦This box is a game-changer. It’s got this clear glass top that lets you see what’s inside, and it’s perfectly sized for those dental kits. 🌟Now, why am I excited? Well, imagine having this on your charter trips, especially those where full amenity kits aren’t necessary for every guest. 🛩️You can place it in the lavatory, secure it with museum putty, and voilà! Guests can see exactly what’s inside and use it as needed. Genius, right? 💡Perfect for those larger lavatories, like Gulfstream and Bombardier heavy jets. Now…. I just need to find this magical box ! 😝🛩️

“If passengers, aircraft service providers, or the public assume a person aboard an aircraft is acting as a crewmember due to service-related duties carried out upon a flight, it is most likely that person will be identified as a crewmember in the case of any legalor insurance related action. If action is taken, it will be the obligation of this person to produce documentation supporting the proper training as a crewmember regardless of the job description given (i.e. hostess, cabin serer, customer service provider, attendant, etc).Cabin crew member means an appropriately qualified crew member, other than a flight crew or technical crew member, who is assigned by an operator to perform duties related to the safety of passengers and flight during operations. Some operators choose to call a flight attendant a variety of titles, including host/hostess, cabin manager, customer service representative.Operators sometimes list this person as a passenger. This is done under the misconception that this circumvents the need for training. It is important to note that a person manifested as a passenger cannot be assigned duties during flight. While many in the industry put untrained persons aboard to care for the passenger’s service needs, this practice is in conflict with the intent of the regulations, and can potentially increase liability, while also creating a false perception of safety.”You’re going to want to bookmark this one 🔖📑

Private Jet Flight Attendants are responsible for every component of the inflight service from the greeting of guests and welcome table, the inflight food and beverage service, ensuring guest facing entertainment equipment is charged or readily working and available, making seats into beds for a luxurious bedroom in the sky with inflight amenities included. They must possess a thorough understanding and knowledge of food safety with a huge bonus for having some sort of culinary prowess. They are not slinging cans of soda to their guests - rather they are making craft cocktails, presenting and pouring expensive, worldly wines, all while plating, serving, and clearing multiple courses to multiple clients with ease and comfort, never allowing their guests to see them break a sweat. That is just the inflight portion that the guests see.We are also responsible for the meticulous and immaculate cleaning of the aircraft in which we work. While some aspects of the role are glamorous, it still includes cleaning toilet bowls! Having a keen eye for detail, mildly-manic obsessive cleaning habits, and a love for organization are excellent personal qualities to have as a Private Jet Flight Attendant

Being able to communicate your own excitement is a powerful way to engage your clients and your colleagues (not to mention your desired employers!). It infects everyone around you with energy and a sense of purpose. The CFAs getting the most out of their careers are those who approach every trip with unguarded enthusiasm. Paris, city of light, city of love, but most of all- CITY OF DELICIOUS THINGS!

Galeries Lafayette Gourmet Haussmen

5 Boulevard Haussmann, 75009 Paris, France

This one-stop shop for all of Paris’ most decadent indulgences (Pierre Hermé macarons, lemon-yuzu eclairs, pâtés, Petrossian caviar and smoked salmon, wine and Champagne) also has a gourmet food court where you can feast on delicacies as varied as oysters, charcuterie, dim sum and sizzling steaks from the butcher shop. I even purchased a Chocolate Eiffel Tower here! If you have limited layover time, this is the only place you need to go.

La Grande Epicerie de Paris

38 Rue de Sèvres, 75007 Paris | 80 Rue de Passy, 75016 Paris

Basically the French Version of Whole Foods. Here you won’t just find ready to eat fresh foods and gourmet condiments. An entire side of beef was hanging in the butcher area, ready to be made into steaks and roasts etc… In the cheese section a special climate controlled case held enormous rounds of cheeses. Fresh seafood was displayed in the seafood section – so fresh it looked just caught. A case of fresh pastas spanned some 20 feet. You’ll find so many different types of bottled water, many of which I’d never heard of before. And of course there is also wine….and a great selection of it. Oh and the pastry section? Don’t even get me started. In a word, sublime .If you are staying at the Marriott Rive Gauge (as a lot of crews tend to do, there is a location near by!)

Fauchon Paris

30 Place de la Madeleine

Foodies will love Fauchon’s unique culinary products, such as its rose petal jams, chocolates, etc. The top floor is a take-out gourmet deli, perfect for grabbing a few crew meals or French Baguette Sandwiches for your guests! The cafe itself is Instagrammable from every angle, little details of pink flutter the entire store and brand. My personal favorite Fauchon product to procure for any flight? The Eclairs.

Maison Plisson

93 Boulevard Beaumarchais- You can also order online here!

By now you are starting to see a trend among my recommendations, cheese, charcuterie, bakery, deli, fruit and vegetables…. its all here. However, I love the charming and small marketplace feel of Maison Plisson, you feel as though you are transported back to the grocery aisles that perhaps Julia Childs strolled when picking out her ingredients. Another reason to love this marketplace is because everything in it is farm to table.

E. Dehillerin

18-20 Rue Coquillière, 75001 Paris

Julia Child shopped here in the past. Ina Gartin shops today. Just about anything a cook-professional or home would need. If William Sonoma and Sur La Table gets you pumped then this is a must visit while in Paris.

#FlightessPhilosophy– If you can’t plate something beautifully, change the vessel in which you present it in.

Beef Stroganoff ( and similar foods) will never be dotted, smeared, or finessed onto a plate in a modern way, however, put it in a mini copper oven-to-table vessel and boom, it is GORGEOUS. E. Dehillerin is amazing for finding those pieces for plating. It’s worth the extra 10 euro splurge within your catering budget I promise.

Restaurants [that do] Take-Away

If you have ever tried to source take-away catering in Paris from restaurants, you know the struggle. Many restaurants do not allow it as they fear it won’t be handled properly and the Chef’s work and integrity will therefore be contaminated. I have a few of my go-to restaurants that do fabulous take-away listed here:

  • Zerda Cafe– 15 Rue René Boulanger- Great for Moroccan Tagines and Cous Cous
  • La Rôtisserie d’Argent-19 Quai de la Tournelle- Classic French Fare (Roasted chicken is a fan favorite here!) They require 24 hours notice for take-away!

Vogel Fleurs

2 Rue de Marignan

There are a ton of beautiful flower shops in Paris, but none of them have the elegance and beauty of Vogel Fleurs. Their flowers are truly outstanding in quality and appearance and the skill and ability they have to create unique, modern arrangements is unparalleled. Psst L’Avenue is right around the corner, while you’re waiting for your arrangement go sip on a glass of Champagne and people watch!

Do you have any favorite spots in Paris that you love to snag yummy things from? Share below! Also check out my London Catering Guide here!
