Two things I keep onboard that make cocktails inflight an easy, elevated slam dunk? 🍹@casamigos Chile salt rimmer (works on bloody Mary’s, margaritas, etc) this spicy cocktail rimmer combines extra-coarse Oregon sea salt with lime juice and chile peppers, bringing a fun, lively spice to your favorite drinks onboard🍊🍋Dehydrated Citrus Wheels- Dehydrated garnishes are a great way to add sophistication and flavor to your cocktails as a dried lime wheel will not throw off the overall balance of the drink. Jimmy Barrett, the bar development manager of Zuma in Las Vegas says “Fresh lime might have more aroma, but actually dehydrated has more of an intense flavor, which adds to the experience.”Benjamin Rouse, the bar lead at Henley in Nashville, agrees. He believes dehydrated citrus is not only aesthetically pleasing but provides more control. “When you use a fresh garnish in a cocktail, the juice from the fruit slowly dilutes the flavor as it was initially made,” he saysWhat’s your go-to inflight cocktails (or mocktails!) to make inflight?! LETS TALK CONTRACTOR LIFE! Read below::Being a contractor essentially means a CFA is not salaried with any one operator, company, or individual owner/flight department, rather the CFA is available for a day rate. Although you lack a full time salary and benefits, you are able to pick and choose what trips you accept and when you work. If a CFA contractor lives in an area with frequent private aviation (New York, Los Angeles, Southern Florida, etc.), there is quite a lot of opportunityThere is a saying in the sector of contracting, “Feast or Famine.” There may be some months where you get called every week for another trip while other months the phone is dead and silent. You have to financially prepare for the worst. Contractors who are successful treat every flight like an interview - you cannot afford to have one bad flight as a contractor, otherwise the company or pilot may never call you back again for another trip. Another thing to be aware of is that if you turn down too many trips from one pilot or operator, they may stop calling entirely. It’s important to maintain and foster excellent working relationships with anyone who may hire you for a trip.

It may be hard to fathom in the wake of a global pandemic but it’s true: people still aren’t washing their hands. Let alone for the full 20 seconds as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In a recent study, 33% of Americans reported they weren’t scrubbing their hands for 20 seconds. Some studies have shown only 5% of visitors to the restroom wash their hands long enough to kill germs and on average, only wash for six seconds. Those same people go on to touch surfaces around the aircraft – that is how germs and illnesses spread quickly. Proactively sanitizing your own hands in between handwashing by using a touchless dispenser is a quick way to protect yourself and maintain your health. It also doesn’t hurt if it smells like Bergamot 😉@noshinku
