As one can imagine; I get so many messages about prospective individuals wanting to join this career path however; I STRONGLY implore anyone interested to do an internal “self-check”. If you want to be a corporate flight attendant because you “love to travel”— this may not be the right fit. Sure, travel is sometimes a gorgeous by-product of the job we do BUT it requires so much more both in lifestyle sacrifices and simple core personal traits and characteristics I would argue that those wishing to join this field should swap “I love to travel” with “I have a heart to serve”. The latter will be the currency of passion needed to withstand the hurdles faced in this industry. To all my CFAs that follow here: what is ONE thing you wish you knew before you got started in this industry? This is going to be an amazing comment thread to read if we all share below 🫶🛩️

As promised from last weeks poll, the answers to everyone wanting to know where you can transition in business aviation after flying. This has been a burning question in our community as people enter different phases of life and their personal life changes in obligations.Personally, I was a contractor/freelance CFA before having my baby and will remain contracting— just not quite at the same speed as before 🥰😉If you are someone who has transitioned to a new role post-flying, please share your story too!

When I flew Qatar Business Class last March, I noticed they serve all of their on-demand meal services with a small lantern on the tray ,not only does it provide mood lighting but it also avoids disruptive lighting changes that alter the relaxing ambiance of the flight This one in particular is my favorite to use for night flights to avoid clients eyes having to drastically adjust when needing to use the loo in the middle of the night. It also looks beautiful creating a starry ambiance for the welcome table or dinner service ✨✨✨

I tell everyone who is interested in joining this career field, there is room for you if you are willing to be a consummate professional, possess an unmatched work ethic, and are motivated to network like crazy. That is how I successfully broke into this industry almost ten years ago, but I definitely made a few mistakes along the way myself. Luckily, with the Flightess Mentorship Program, I have created the right handholding tools and educational platform to allow candidates to not only learn from the mistakes I made, but pave a road that allows them to successfully and gracefully break open the gates of this industry themselves to blaze their own successful careers as corporate flight attendants.Interested in hearing more? ‼️ALL ITEMS LINKED IN THE BLOG POST (check bio link!)1. Compression everything. All the time. It’s no secret that when you are pregnant, a majority of your weight gain is just extra fluids in your body. Wearing compression socks or pantyhose is already a healthy habit when flying; but when you’re pregnant, it’s a non-negotiable. During the flight, you need to take care of your blood circulation. There is low pressure in the cabin. It increases strain on your arteries and veins, which is already hard if you’re pregnant. Thus, you need to wear compression socks or compression stockings. I did a tremendous amount of research on which compression socks would do the job and ultimately landed on VIM&VIGR. I had them in all the colors and in my third trimester I wore them from morning to night.2. Stretchy Uniform DressesI stopped fitting into my regular work dresses in my second trimester, therefore I had to find comfortable, stretchy, and professional dresses for flying. Since it was short-term, I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on pregnancy uniforms.I sized up to a medium in these stretchy dresses and it worked all thru my third trimester.3. Pregnancy Glow in a Bottle? You know everyone always says to pregnant women “YOU’RE GLOWING!!!” okay well I have done the research and turns out people only said that to me when I was quite literally wearing this highlighter. 100% swear by this product for a natural glow.
